The Blogging Project - Online Meeting - week 2

Homework from our last meeting:

1. Did you get a chance to visit wordpress.com to view the backend of Wordpress and see how simple it is to use? Do you have any questions regarding how the blog works? 2. What is your goal for this blog? What do you want it to accomplish for you?

Our next phase:

3. Where to come up with content. What do you fill your blog with??

4. What action do you want your viewers to take? Are we putting ads on your blog or are we driving traffic to a direct sales webpage?

5. Blogging Schedules. You need to post regularly and plan to compile content regularly. A schedule helps you achieve your goals.

At this time we have a few people already in our blogging group. If you would like to join us, please contact Wendy and she will get you up to speed so you can be part of our blogging project.

Welcome to our site!! We are so excited about this project. It’s not a new project but it’s a new website and a new bunch of women are joining us that would never had had access to our group if we didn’t start this site. I am looking forward to our group growing and our members benefiting from knowing each other. It’s all very very exciting!!

I’ll briefly explain our thoughts on the site features and let you browse around a bit. If you have any questions there are two places to get answers, here or in the message boards. Well, there is email and phone too, that information is also on the site.

We have interactive areas (blog, message boards, chat room) and then we have resources (articles, business directory) and we have events listed on our calendar.

We are hoping to appeal to all women, regardless of their ability to use the computer or to get out of their house/office. We have Virtual Networking that takes place in our chat room. We have in person monthly meetings that take place at a local restaurant (for now) and then we have gatherings, get-togethers, whatever you want to call them…we meet somewhere that we can go hang out, enjoy, learn, share and really build relationships. Expos are also on the planning board and will be posted to the calendar soon.

Our goal is to provide opportunities you never would have had in the typical networking world. We believe that building relationships is far more important than just telling people who you are and what you do. Growing a relationship will last a lifetime and it will enhance your personal and business life.

Take some time to browse the site and please register to get your name in our member list and directory. Get your links in the profile and post on the message board to get yourself out there in front of others. Join a chat and get to know your fellow members! You never know when you could meet your next best friend, future business partner, greatest client ever, etc.

You can comment on this blog…ask questions and share your ideas. That is what will make us grow!
